Corn: September 2011

Admittedly, not the most exciting topic for a blog post,
but corn on the cob is Wren's favorite at the moment.
She will not eat kernel corn, only corn on the cob.
She is very particular, our Wren.
So as summer winds to an end, so will fresh sweet corn.
Wren will be devastated.

Wren's 2nd Walworth County Fair: September 2011

This was a very wild chicken.
I don't know about you, goat.

Aw, let's hug it out.

Wren wanted to take the kitten home for Dos.

If one more kid touches me I swear I'm busting out of here.

The corn box.

Butterfly Barn

Gathering produce in the garden

Cheeeeese!

She's a natural.

Walking with Daddy through the garden. Again.

A family who eats cream puffs together, stays together.

What a great fair!

This was my 32nd Walworth County Fair, and Andrew figures he's been to about that many as well.
So one would think we'd seen it all, done all there was to do, eaten all there was to eat.
If you've seen one pig, one cow, one sheep, one tractor, well, you've seen them all.
Or so we thought.
Seeing, tasting and doing everything for the first time through our daughter made it new to us again, too.
The excitement, the wonder, the deliciousness of a cream puff.
Thanks, Wren, for making us kids again.
